BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Born in Madrid, Spain, in 1967. He was introduced into the arts by his father, an art teacher and illustrator. As a teenager, he began working as a multidisciplinary artist for the Autonomous Government of Extremadura and other institutions so he could finance his field travels to France, Italy and Greece. In 1985 he entered the Fine Arts School at the Complutense University of Madrid, where especialized in sculpture and learned the art of bas relief with Francisco López. In Madrid he established contact with artist Antonio López, and, consequently, new Spanish realism became his most decisive influence. He received his Masters Degree in 1991, established his studio and began to teach introductory art programs and seminars in rural towns. In 1996, he and his wife moved to New York, where he worked as a freelance postal illustrator and acquired additional computer techniques. He currently lives in Spain with his wife and son and works full time as an artist.
He was appointed as Webmaster by the American Medallic Sculpture Association.
