BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Born in Madrid, Spain, to a family of humanistic and scientific tradition. At an early age, he began working as a multidisciplinary artist so he could finance his field travels to Paris, Florence, Arezzo, Rome, Naples, and Athens.
In 1985 he entered the Fine Arts School at the Complutense University of Madrid and completed his extensive academic training at the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid live model workshops.
After the informal period in the arts, which had reached Spain with much delay, the academic realm had become very hostile for those that didn't follow the dictates of the new official art. This very fact made him pursue his own artistic endeavor. In Madrid, new Spanish realism became his most decisive influence. After discovering Marino Marini and Arturo Martini's art in Italy, he especialized in sculpture. Received his Licenciatura in 1991, established his studio and began to teach introductory art programs and seminars in rural towns.
In 1996, he moved to New York, where he worked as a freelance illustrator and acquired additional computer techniques. He currently lives in Madrid with his family and works full time as an artist.
